Welcoming the Fall Season

So it's been a while since I've last posted. I've been keeping busy with quite a few things, jewelry making and designing included, and last minute things popping up here and there. It's great because I love feeling busy!

Got some new designs and creations for LeliMelo. Travelling in and around New York City definitely has its perks. Always inspiring for my creations and my writings, a lot of sketches and doodling. My poor notebook!

The city is just amazing, especially Central Park at this time of the year. The hues and texture of the leaves are beyond what images can capture. So rich and luscious.

I've recently created some of my designs out of wax and got them casted in sterling silver. In the midst of filing and sanding them down to get that shine! Can't wait to see how it turns out. One of my pieces I created is an abstract heart. I know, we see heart-jewelry everywhere, but I'm just fascinated with them. I wouldn't really consider myself a girly type of person, but hearts are just so sweet and personal (to me). I can't wait to get that heart finished.

Idea Behind the Labor Day Sweepstake

The Labor Day Sweepstake officially ended yesterday at 11:59pm. I wanted to celebrate the weekend with my subscribers and clients and reward them for working hard their entire lives. So what better way, for me, than to reward them with my free handmade jewelry?

Throughout this past weekend, I made an announcement that all subscribers and registered customers on my site were eligible to enter the sweepstake. I will randomly select five winners from my list today and notify the lucky five through email. I will also be congratulating them on the main page of my website. They'll each win my handmade jewelry that's worth more than $50. They won't know which jewelry they'll be receiving because it's a surprise!

I hope the winners will be just as excited as I am! Good luck to all of them!

Why LeliMelo Has a Blog

I decided to start blogging on a regular basis. LeliMelo was signed up to blogspot.com quite a while back but I never found time to actually sit down and write away. So what made me finally decide to become a regular blogger? Simple, my newsletter subscribers and my clients! Some of you have emailed and asked me to start a regular blog and it worked, I'm here!
